In Rockingham County Public Schools, the Fine Arts are an essential part of every child's educational experience. A quality and diverse fine arts curriculum empowers creativity, higher-level thinking, and artistic literacy while simultaneously developing a lifelong appreciation for the arts.  Further, participating in and studying the arts provides an outlet for self-expression and fosters self-esteem, compassion for others, and self-awareness. 

RCPS Fine Arts students, both individually and in collaboration with their peers, build artistic knowledge and skill through authentic experiences.  They contribute to the cultural enrichment of their school and surrounding communities as well as connecting to the greater global community.
